Message for Lent 2006
Pope Benedict XVI has published his Message for Lent 2006, which echoes some of the themes of his encyclical Deus Caritas Est and frames the Lenten practice of almsgiving within the encyclical's perspective. Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten Season, falls on March 1 this year.
